• We’ll construct a program focusing on progressive overload for muscle growth, with the right frequency and volume to ensure adherence and… to keep training fun!

    • With fitness, we will stress the basics…and then the basics again.

These are: the principle of overload, strength, hypertrophy, endurance, adaptation, recovery, energy systems, mobility.

    • I will program all workouts starting with warm-up, mobility, and activation exercises to the main exercises, including how many times you should do it and how long: i.e. sets, reps, rest, tempo, RIR/RPE, cues.

    • We will build out a program that uses periodization to maximize performance, enhance recovery and avoid plateaus.

    • We will also make sure that we have certain critical lifestyle factors in place like getting proper sleep, having a decent amount of N.E.A.T., and taking the right supplementations (there’s only a few).

    • We will create a custom meal plan that is tailored towards your specific goals. This meal plan will be sustainable, so that you will be able to eat the foods that you enjoy, so you don’t have to worry about “cheating”.

    • I help create meal plans that are culturally dynamic that incorporate North & South Indian, Arabic, American, Mexican and Asian cuisine among others.

    • With nutrition as well, we stress the basics… and then the basics again: calorie intake(energy balance), protein intake, macronutrient profiles, and whole foods consumption.

    • THEN, secondarily: portion control, mindfulness, hydration, nutrient density, fiber intake, and gut health.

    • Behavioral psychology plays a key role in nutrition. Knowing what to do is often not enough—it's about finding a strategy that works for you so that we can stick to it. We will spend a relatively significant amount of time overviewing the fundamentals of nutrition & the behavioral psychology relevant to it.

    • Our main communication will be weekly (or biweekly) video calls to check in on your training and nutrition, review progress, provide feedback, and make any necessary adjustments.

    • You’ll have full access to me via text and email. I’m generally a pretty informal, easygoing guy, so feel free to reach out anytime with questions—whether it's about adapting your training or nutrition when life gets busy, eating out, or staying on track while traveling.

    • Correct exercise form is essential, so I’ll ask you to send me form videos of key exercises. This helps me fine-tune your mechanics, provide feedback as needed, and ensure you’re using the right weights and intensity for progress and safety.

    • Together, we’ll work to identify the thought patterns and beliefs that drive or hold back your progress.

    • I will try my best to empower you to face challenges, learn from setbacks, and celebrate victories(and even “failures”), big and small.

    • Training the muscles of the body is inseparable from training the muscles of the mind.

    • If you have trouble giving up an addiction, I can provide tools from behavioral psychology and neuroscience to help you build a better grasp around it.

    • I studied Anthropology in school and I pride myself on being culturally competent and understanding how different cultural circumstances impacts people’s fitness and nutrition choices.

    • I am trying to make you almost AS knowledgeable as me, IF not more. The goal of my personal training and coaching is to empower you with the confidence to make informed decisions in the gym and the kitchen.

    • Coaching is unique, however. Coaching can almost be forever. All the greats have had coaches for support, accountability, perspective‒ simply a second brain and heart on deck.

    • Think of Chris Bumstead, Schwarzenegger, Michael Jordan, Khabib, Muhammad Ali, Magnus Carlsen, B.K.S. Iyengar, Alec Honnold, Goku, Batman, Aang and Liu Kang.

    • Although it is not the primary area of focus in my coaching/training, I am a certified yoga instructor and I believe yoga is a vital part of a holistic fitness and wellness.

    • Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word “yuj”, which mean to “unite” or “combine”. That is exactly what a yoga practitioner seeks to do: unite the mind, body and spirit by moving through the different yoga asanas.

    • Yoga enhances the mind-muscle connection by cultivating awareness of body movement and muscle engagement. This focus improves control, activation, and form during strength training. Additionally, yoga’s mindfulness practices help lower stress, promote recovery, and improve circulation, allowing your body to heal and recharge.

    • If you work with me, you will have access to a weekly Yoga class that I hold over Google Meet on Sundays!
